Character's techniques

Ryu is a calm and technical fighter. He can be played from close range, but is still best when keeping the oponent far away with fireballs. Nail jumping oponents with a Dragon punch, and when the SC gauge is full, go in for big damage.

Common moves

Zero counter B DB D + p Fierce Dragon punch.
Taunt 1 Start / F + Start Ryu adjusts his headband.
Taunt 2 B + Start Ryu adjusts his handguards.

Simple moves

Overhead punch F + MP A diving punch that hits twice. Overhead hit.
High punch (jump) F + MP An upward punch that hits twice. Air hit.
Spin kick F + MK A hoping spin kick. Touches at end of spin. Good to get close.

Special moves

Fireball D DF F + p Projectile. Good recovery time. Fires and knocks dows when close.
Dragon punch F D DF + p An almost invincible upward attack. Knocks down.
Whirlwind kick D DB B + k A series of spining kick. Goes over projectiles. Can be done in air.

Super combos

Shinkuu Hadoken (D DF F)*2 + p A stronger FB. Each FB it cancels eats 1 hit. 3, 4 or 5 hits.
